Canon Pixma TS6020 Driver Software, Manual, and Price– Today, printers do more than just print, copy, and scan. In this post, We will share the driver, software, and manual for Canon TS6020. Even affordable printers come with software that adds a lot of functionality to the platform.
We’ll be the first to admit that, oftentimes, these features are nothing more than a gimmick. For us, it’s always important to look beyond the hype and do an accurate analysis of whether additional functionality is really useful.
There are many all-in-one printers on the market. But Canon is one of the most respected brands in the print media industry. When they announced that they would be bringing their European line of “Pixma TS” series printers to North America, they certainly caught our eye.
These models are some of the best-selling printers worldwide due to their compact size and impressive print quality. Until recently, not much was known about what this printer could do. We decided we should get one of these printers, and see if all the attention it gets is validated.
Canon Pixma TS6020 Review
While all TS series printers are visually appealing, the Canon Pixma TS6020 is very attractive. It maintains the standard layout we’d expect from an all-in-one printer but adds a few modern touches. The front-facing display is a touchscreen, so it’s easy to change most settings.
All buttons on the front are LED lit, scarcely apparent when the printer is off. Yet, the most striking component of this printer is its minimal structure. At the point when not being used, the face folds down to give an all-out size of 12.5 x 14.7 x 5.5 inches. At almost 14 pounds, it’s somewhat heavier than you’d anticipate. But that’s because Canon has crammed a lot of powerful hardware into the printer, placing it firmly in the mid-range category.
Canon Pixma TS6020 Interface
The touchscreen interface has a sleek and professional appeal. When you first turn it on, you are presented with three simple options: Copy, Scan, Print. Touching any of these buttons will start the job, or display job-specific options.
Pressing copy prompts for important information such as the number of copies you want, the type of paper you are printing on, and a button that lets you choose between documents and photos. Touching the gear icon displays additional features such as enlarging your image, adjusting contrast, or scanning across multiple pages. The scan menu is very similar, in any case, there are extra elements including goal and objective. Printing is the most assorted menu in the whole point of interaction, and we’ll cover this element presently.
At the bottom of the interface are four small buttons. The wireless button allows you to connect to a network or change network settings, the Cloud button lets you access stored files remotely, the gear icon allows you to adjust universal settings that apply to all (or most) job types, and the help icon displays an on-screen manual that explains some of the more advanced features.
It seems that this menu addresses another period of printing innovation. While Canon isn’t quick to bring onscreen menus to the majority, it’s one of the first we’ve used that makes controlling print jobs from the printer itself simple. The menus felt intuitive like we knew what we were doing before we had a lot of experience with printers. Out of pure familiarity, we always prefer to change the print settings from our PC. But with this printer, we will be happy to change the settings of our printer.
Canon Pixma TS6020 Printing
When printing documents from this printer, the first thing we notice is the speed. It only takes six seconds from the moment you press the power button until the first document starts printing. For black and white, it only takes a few seconds per page.
Even though it’s cheap, it can still handle quite a large volume. The hopper can hold up to 100 sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper, or up to 20 sheets of glossy photo paper.
Color can be fast if you’re only printing something with a few diagrams, but photo printing is much slower. It takes about 15 to 20 seconds to print the photo. Total time really depends on your size and quality settings. In any case, we need to say, these photographs look totally shocking. The expression “lab grade” doesn’t mean much these days, as there are many competent photo printers on the market. But we’d be happy to take one of these self-printed images in lieu of a professional job any time.
Canon Pixma TS6020 Economy
Although this is not the most expensive printer in the TS series, its quality still places it in the middle category. In reality, you get the same great system as the high-end model, for a lot less. But anyone who owns an inkjet printer knows that actually buying a printer is a very small cost compared to ink. In this area, the TS6020 is very economical. Canon uses a five-tank system. This allows Canon to put more ink in each cartridge. Since darker colors are often made up of droplets of several different colors, the ink can be applied much lighter than other models. You will find that your cartridges tend to last longer with this ink. When it comes time to change colors, you will be lucky enough to only replace one or two cartridges.
Canon Pixma TS6020 Connectivity
Once the printer is connected to your network, most users will transfer files via Netprint. This is a standard technology built into Windows and Mac OS devices, so any desktop or laptop computer will work. You can also use Google Cloud Print or the increasingly popular Mopria app. If all this fails, you can always download the free Canon printing app and print directly to the printer from your iOS or Android device, with no configuration or driver installation required.
Canon Pixma TS6020 Lack
The TS line is sold as a series of very good quality and high-style printers. While obviously there are heaps of cutting-edge includes, the style of this printer isn’t close to as amazing as the TS9020. For what we spent on this printer, we’d love to see it look a little more modern.
Final Verdict
The Canon Pixma TS6020 is somewhat of a handyman. It works effectively in printing archives, and prints photos really well. Canon even includes three packs of their premium photo paper, so you can test them side-by-side against a standard sheet of paper to see if it’s something you’d like to spend on.
We recommend this printer to anyone who wants to copy, scan, and print various documents. While printing costs are very affordable for an inkjet, if you find that you are only printing text documents, inkjets are not the best choice. In that case, you’ll want to look at monochrome laser printers. They do cost a bit more upfront, but high volume users will appreciate the penny per page.
On the other hand, if the design is important to you, we highly recommend that you consider the Canon TS9020. Technically, these printers are almost identical in terms of functionality. But with the 9020 you get a bigger display and a much more attractive cover.
But outside of certain usage scenarios, there were very few faults we could find with the TS6020. If you’re looking for an affordable way to get high-quality prints, you can’t go wrong.
